Mark Thomas, 42, of Paducah, formerly of Oak Ridge, Tenn., passed away Friday, February 19, 2010, in a tragic car accident.
He was of the Baptist faith and formerly worked at General Tire. His parents are members of Gospel Mission Worship Center.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home with the Rev. Todd Dotson officiating. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be Tuesday, February 23, 2010, from 10:30 a.m. until the service time of 1:00 p.m. at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home.
Survivors include one son, Mason Thomas Downs of Paducah; his father and stepmother, Paul and Deborah Thomas of Lone Oak; one half-sister, Virginia Martin Thomas of Texas; one half-brother, Anthony Martin Thomas of Birmingham, Ala.; one stepbrother, Brandon Wingate and wife Elke of Nashville, Tenn.; his grandmother, Carrie Thomas of Paducah; one nephew, Dean Wingate; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Dana Ruth Anderson Thomas and his grandparents, Samuel Thomas and Bill and Dorothy Anderson.
