Rankin Raymond

Graveside services for Raymond Rankin Jr., 72, of Paducah will be at 11a.m. Wednesday, June 6,2007 ay Woodlawn Memorial Gardens with Rev. Harold Council officiating.
Mr. Rankin died 6:30 a.m. Sunday, June 3, 2007, at his home.
A U.S. Army veterans of the Koren War, he was retired co-owner of Vandy's Floor Service and a member of Southland Baptist Temple and Masonic Lodge No. 127.
Surviving are his companion, Betty Vandevelde of Paducah; one son, Shane Vandevelde of Paducah; two daughters, Sandy Atkins and her husband, Zane, of West Paducah amd Patty Vandevelde of Calvert City; one brother, Charles Rankin of Lovelaceville; three sisters, Ethel Powell and Willie Mae Powell, both of Calvert City, and Etta Roberts of Ledbetter; three grandchildren, twins Holly and Heidi Atkins of West Paducah, and Todd Farris of Benton; and severalnieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Charlene Hughes Rankin, and one sister, Louise Detie. His parents were Raymond and Helen Rankin.
Visitation for the family will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, 2007, at Hughes Funeral Home. Friends may call at the funeral homeafetr 5 p.m.
