Obituary for Metomah M. Saxon

Mrs. Metomah M. Saxon, age 102, of Mayfield, passed away at 4:35 P.M. Friday, March 6, 2020 at her residence. She was a retired beautician and a member of West Broadway Baptist Church. She is survived by two daughters; LaDonna (Charles) Bobbitt, Peoria, IL., Marlene (Ed) Johnson, Murray, one son; Roger (Kathy) Saxon, Syracuse, IN, special caregiver; Marie Grant, ten grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; Chester Saxon, parents; Walter Curd and Lena Delta Stinson Rohrer, five brothers; Curtis Rohrer, Emerson Rohrer, J.T. Rohrer, W.C. Rohrer, Vernon Rohrer, three sisters; Delta Mae Adams, Lucille Burgess and Easter Rohrer. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at the Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield with Rev. Jared Baker and Rev. Spence Pate officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be; Lonnie Garnett, Shane Saxon, Mike Haven, Mitch Kengma, Frank Zickmund and Russell Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be; Norma Jean Summerville, Rose Caroline Copeland and Melva Davis. Interment will follow in the Mayfield Memory Gardens. Friends may call after 5:00 P.M. Monday at the Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield.
