BENTON, Ky. - Benjamin E. Butler, 64, of Benton died at 1:45 a.m. Thursday at his home.
Mr. Butler retired after 39 years as a pipefitter at ARKEMA Inc., in Calvert City. He was a member of Briensburg Masonic Lodge No. 401, a 32nd degree member of the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, S.J., USA, a member of the Rizpah Shriners of Madisonville, a member of the International Association of Machinist Local No. 1969 and a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association.
Surviving are his wife, Sheila Word Butler; one daughter, Michelle Walton of Paducah; one son, Ben A. Butler of Paducah; three sisters, Mary Nuberg of Doddsville, Miss., Nancy Halley of Red Bank, Miss., and Helen Jean Emerson of Greensboro, N.C.; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Butler and Gertrude Dean Butler.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Collier Funeral Home with Randy Stacy and Mitch Mathis officiating. Burial will be at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Paducah.
