Anna McAlister

Anna Dittman McAlister, 98, of Paducah, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, June 17, 2022 at Parkview Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

Mrs. McAlister was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church were she was a member of the Alter Society and was a retired school teacher from St. Thomas More.  Anna was a Duchess of Paducah.  She was a member of the Lourdes Hospital Auxiliary, Paducah Homemakers and numerous bridge clubs.

Anna is survived by a very special daugher-in-law, Lillie Grief (Richard ‘Skip’) of Paducah, Kentucky; a stepson, James McAlister (Janis) of Piemont, Alabama; five grandchildren, Marla Harris (Cary), Shawn Dittman (Sara), Amanda Sloane (Matt), Amber Reynolds (Cory) and Jimmy McAlister; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert N. Dittman; her second husband, Harold J. McAlister; a son, Robert John Dittman; three sisters, Marie Somes Block, Madeleine Somes Szymanski and Rita Somes Dixon.  Her parents were, Charles and Harriette Ladrier Somes.

A funeral mass will be held at 12:00 pm on Thursday, June 30, 2022 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church with Rev. Brad Whistle officiating.  Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until the service hour of 12:00 pm on Thursday, June 30, 2022 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church.
